0% Store Fee For First $1,000,000 in Revenue Per App Per Year
Starting in June 2025, for any Epic Games Store payments we process, developers will pay a 0% revenue share on their first $1,000,000 in revenue per app per year, and then our regular 88%/12% revenue share when they earn more than that.

This doesn’t affect the Unreal Engine license, which is currently 5% after $1m.

Wow, damn, that’s pretty cool. As long as they fix up the vibes of the Epic Launcher/etc, which even Sweeney admits is clunky, I’m down to put my stuff on there from now on.

Competing with Steam is a tall order at this point, but competition is damn good, so good luck Epic. Also thanks Epic for the Apple App Store win.
Honestly, this is really nice to see. Even though they already had an extremely good revenue split this might really help some indie developers who do decide to publish on Epic. Although, I do struggle to see more people putting their stuff on Epic due to the low market share.
