I like the Shin Megami Tensei series (mainly due to how it incentivises striking weaknesses) and also the Octopath Traveler series (really engaging stories, even if they get a bit nonsensical at times (especially in Octopath Traveler 0 and Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent)).
I probably will show off my engine once the battle system actually works how I want (right now, it just forces specific skills to be used (attack skills) and has no UI at all) while also getting rid of the temp music tracks (right now, I’m just loading temp tracks (acquired from various octopath traveler games) from an absolute position on my filesystem, mostly to ensure the audio works)…
Maybe I will also make a functional editor prototype too…
