We’re still super super pre-alpha but we have a working prototype and we’re applying for some indie funds to try have get some

We also have a little amogus running around! Obviously they wont be amogus in the final version but like we got little guys!! and they’re running around!!
I don’t think I have ever felt so satisfied with things getting done in a project before what a wild feeling. Anyways all that to say hi again! We’re no longer crunching a self-imposed deadline and I can live my life again. Can’t wait to see what everyone else has been up to these last couple months and so excited to catch up with everyone. <3
Hey, that’s awesome! Welcome back to the forum, happy to see you around again. I hope the indie fund applications go well and the art looks great!
I’m curious what the 3D scene is for. Is the game a visual novel when you talk to characters and the 3D scenes are for navigating through the world? Tell us more about the game!
hihihi <3
yes! The game is a 3D overworld for puzzles and exploration and then the talking scenes are like a visual novel with 2D art for the characters.
Our game is called Third Shift, and it’s an adventure mystery game. You play as Charlie (they/them brown hair on the left) and you are moving to a small mountain town called Arbor Hollow because you got a clue that your missing sister was last in this town. You get a part-time job at a convenience store that services spirits so that you can conduct an investigation to find your sister and also unravel the mysteries of the town and the people living there.
There’s a choice based dialogue system that affects the story, environmental and logic puzzles, and sneaky stealthy parts to avoid some uhhh unsavory characters fufufu
This 3D environment is the store you work in but we have environments for the whole town and different places in the woods too. much work qwq
We were really ambitious i think for our first game orz but we really believe in this project so we’re going all in
