Hey, I’m outfrost, or Frost.
I’m a massive nerd when it comes to railways, public transport in general, computers, and video games - an odd mix of video games: from competitive shooters, to train/truck/rally/space sims, to strategy and management games, to building sandboxes, to narrative games and visual novels.
I love late night gaming sessions, animals of many shapes and sizes, Jpop, rock, metal, photography, cycling, skiing, and tea.
In gamedev, though I want to think of myself as a generalist, my main skills revolve around programming. I’ve been coding on and off since I was about 12, but I have surprisingly little to show for it. I started with C#, had a go at PHP, then moved on to Java and C/C++ for school and uni, learned just enough x86 assembly to understand how a function call works, touched C# again for Unity, picked up Rust and Python, and eventually got into Godot with GDScript.
I’ve been working corporate jobs as a developer for 4 years, both in general IT and in gamedev. Now I’ve decided it’s time to live my own life, and do things that really drive me forward, so with a bit of savings and a dream, I’m attempting to become a full-time indie dev.
Some things I’ve been trying to work on include Pillars of Anguish and Re:Placement, both using Godot, with 3D art and some level design by my friend 666Savior. I stream on Twitch when I work on these projects, tools, other side stuff, or when I feel like sharing some gaming.
Also I wanna try D&D, so I’m open to invites to narrative/RP-heavy campaigns!
