Glitch released a new series!
I really liked it – it felt quite novel and interesting to me (and funny of course ^^). I love the position the protagonists and antagonists find themselves in, and GLITCH has done a great job as always developing the characters. There’s lots of nods to video games, which I’m sure we would all appreciate here too c:
I feel like they’ve done a much better job with the overall story/writing for this and Digital Circus. Really hope we get to see a full series of this.
I wonder if they had a particular reason for dedicating it to Monty Oum at the end – though I can imagine why. I wish Monty Oum was still around.

The main creator and co-writer were both friend’s of Monty’s (Ross O’Donovan and Arin Hanson respectively, who also friends with each other) and Ross (the creator) said this:
If you don’t mind me being a lil sappy for a sec. over a decade ago I was pushed by my good friend Monty Oum to make this show after telling him everything about it. After his passing I was filled with determination to make good on that, even if it felt impossible. You’ll be happy to know I’m dedicating this pilot to him.
I’d link to the source of the quote but it is on a social media site that shall not be engaged with.
Talking about the pilot episode; I think the premise is interesting. At first I thought it was gonna be like Reboot but it turns out that isn’t the case here, interesting that there aren’t actual players it’s just the game worlds themselves! Some of the character voices are honestly a little grating but I think I can just learn to live with em haha.
They do seem to love to put little references to games in there and I am just hoping they don’t go full name-droppy (a-la ready player one) and instead keep them as vague little easter eggs!
Glitch is certainly going for all kinds of stuff, and they really seem to value the artistic side (not just visuals, but they also are killing it in that department). I am hoping they continue to make enough money to keep doing cool shit.

Oh nooooo that’s so sad…
I am happy they made Gameoverse though, and I’m looking forward to them making more animations! Thanks for figuring it out.
