Godot Asset Store WIP

Godot released a new asset store that is a work-in-progress! https://store-beta.godotengine.org/

They have a roadmap which includes:

  • Better search
  • Drag and drop to install assets
  • Buy and sell assets
  • Asset store CLI
  • Asset analytics
  • Better notifications
  • Abstract review count
  • Mobile view

The plan is to eventually deprecate the current Asset Library and replace it with the new Asset Store.

Oh I was not aware, it’s really cool!

I felt that it was missing somehow. It will, most likely, motivate more people to share their tools and assets, even for a fee. I hope it won’t be riddled with cheap AI asset packs, like other stores.
