Hi, I'm LezLiz!

I just got invited here, so I wanted to say hi.

I’m a solo indie gamedev who also does some streaming and dabbling with videos on YouTube. I like yuri/WLW games in particular, but other kinds of queer content is close to my heart too. And an occasional unrelated indie game as well.

To be honest, I’m not sure yet how I’m exactly going to interact here. I can be a bit anxious when it comes to new places and new people like this, so I often gravitate to just lurking and working on my own things in the shadows.

So, uh, I guess I’m a bit of a loner, but let’s see how this works out. Browsing through the forums a bit, I guess using Godot could be a common interest with some of you at least.

Hi there LezLiz! Welcome to the forum, I hope you find this place to be comfy and welcoming. It’s true that quite a few of us use Godot. In fact, I think that’s how I found out about you originally, back when cohost! was still around.

I’m looking forward to seeing you around here. If you’re interested and free, we’re having several watch parties for Summer Game Fest, starting with the Summer Game Fest 2025 Watch Party tomorrow. We’ll just be chatting as a community while watching the livestream, so it’s a pretty low-commitment way to get to know everyone.

hi liz! totally feel you on the anxiety going into new spaces with new people, that’s how I am with most online spaces :stuck_out_tongue:

what are your favorite yuri games? I could always use more of those if you’re willing to share :3

Hi, thanks for asking! I actually just made a video on that the other day. If I can post links. No idea. Butterfly Soup, Heart of the Woods, The Fairy’s Song, Ikenfell and Wicked Willow are what I covered. Pretty safe picks, I think.

In terms of less mainstream yuri games, I liked Bellfall by Kyanite Heart for the quirky art style and great atmosphere. And anything made by Team ANPIM is great too.

If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear about them. :slightly_smiling_face:

thanks for the recs! I actually haven’t played many yuri games recently, but one that’s been on my list has been Lovely Lady RPG

Oh, interesting. I never heard about this one before. Not exactly my cup of tea based on the content warnings, but looks cool nevertheless.
