The fifth idea I’ve had for yet another web comic.
It’s about a guy who begins his search through pi to find any meaningful clue about the Mysterious “IT” after a decade of being tormented by the inexplicable urge to find IT.

So what do I have so far? Not much really, just an incomplete font and this doodle I made while trying to figure out the art style.

Are you planning on hosting your comic on a website somewhere? I’m not sure where people put their webcomics these days.

I was just planning on putting it on WEBTOON, although if I think of some other place for it I’ll probably put it there too.

Feel free to put some ideas here if you’d like, I’m still trying to figure out what I should do in the little amount of time I have left before pi day.

Could start with something simple like searching for the first occurrence of some digits of PI? IT literally (as ASCII in this example) first appears at position 18942 (with 1-indexing, 18941 if 0-indexing). You can probably do a lot with a number like that; could be interpreted as Feb (or Jan) 1894.

Or maybe looking for their own name. Or finding when PI partially repeats itself (31415926 is at 50366472 with 1-indexing). Or ignore the digits themselves and just see where Pi itself shows up and see if you can think of some cool things.

Might want to watch the movie Pi for inspiration too. It is a wild ride, but do note that as far as content warnings go, big one here for self-harm.

I’ve used Pi-Search before, it’s pretty cool. I guess i never really mentioned what I planned on searching for, but I’m planning on searching for Text and Images, so I plan on writing my own program to search for those things within hex digits of pi. As for the film, I might have heard of it before, it seems interesting.

Well, I only have less than 3 days left and it’s only now that I am at a point where the font is good enough for the first episode.

Yeah I made the font, I simply just drew it in GIMP and vectorized it in inkscape.

Yeah, the contact shadows in A are a bit distracting so I’d also say B
