Something I’ve been really into as a programmer & a 3D artist is building a character customization system. It’s been a kind of pipe dream project to build something with as many crazy features as possible.
So i’m curious on what systems youve seen in different games that stick out in your mind, or that you personally like!
I think Baldur’s Gate 3 deserves to be on the list for sure. Lots of customization and it’s stuff that gets recognized in game.
If cars count as characters, I had a lot of fun as a kid decorating cars in Forza 3 and 4. You could use lots of primitive decal shapes to make any kind of art, and then I think you could upload them to xbox live as well.
Probably spent a solid hour in the T.H.U.G. character creator as a kid. (Tony Hawk’s Underground)
I also like all the weird junk people get up to with Miis even though I’ve never been much good at that.
