t/suki is now two years old! To me, it feels like t/suki has been around forever, yet somehow it hasn’t really been that long, has it? I wanted to spend some time reflecting on how t/suki has grown:
what’s new?
a new mission statement
t/suki is now a sociocracy
matrix chat, replacing discourse chat
what’s numberwang?
162 users (+52)
2.2k likes (+1.1k)
24 public repositories (+17)
The biggest change: I am very happy that I am no longer the BDFL[1]. The community is in control now and I am very excited to see how t/suki grows from here. One of the first changes we made together while reorganizing was deciding on a shared vision and mission:
Vision: We dream of a world where game developers and game enthusiasts have a space where they feel connected, supported, and empowered.
Mission: To provide robust digital services and vibrant community digital-first spaces for game developers, creators, and game enthusiasts to connect.
I am very happy and thankful that so many have shown up to the organizing meetings and have gotten involved with circles. I’m optimistic that things will not only grow, but also become more sustainable. I still retain the same deep appreciation for the space that I shared last year and I hope to see t/suki live for many more years.
Thanks to @prod for the wonderful banner art above! Oh, and I’m really not sure why I posted the 1 year anniversary post so early last year. The earliest posts on the forum were all made on the 28th. Oops.
